You can see from the backing that I machine quilted it with hanging diamonds. I absolutely love the blue and tan toile!! I wish I had more!!
I'm not sure this is the Road to CA quilt block, but that's what I'm calling mine.

A friend designed these feathered stars in Electric Quilt. I can see the upper 4 going around some kind of applique or maybe the 4 corners of a feathered star sampler. I enjoyed making them but haven't looked any further to what to do with them. Any ideas? I'd love to hear- please leave me a comment.
This was a scrap buster I did in 2008. When I pulled it out to take a photo I wished I would have made it bigger. I really like it! The border is machine appliqued. The corners look a bit bare, but I think I can fill that in with some quilting.

I bought this vintage quilt from a friend's sister. It didn't fit her decor but it sure fits mine, wouldn't you say? I love the huge Baptist fans quilted in the "big stitch" style. You can click to enlarge any photos and get a better view.
I bought this vintage cross stitched and embroidered pillow on Ebay. It's stuffed with fluffy feathers and is stitched on something similar to prairie cloth. This is one of my favorite Ebay finds!!

This simple one is from Thimbleberries. It is hand quilted and the label says it took me 2 years! I'm not any faster now then I was back then!!!

In honor of Presidents Day, Lincoln's 200th birthday, a new president and our vacation we will be taking to DC I am going to show you my collection of Americana style quilts.
This is a star sampler I made from my second class at the Stitchin' Post in 1994. This involved a little more precision and for that I am grateful. I'm a humble quilter and don't always feel the need for pointy points. If I need them, I am capable. That's what I appreciated about this class. I hand quilted this.
These little quilts don't see daylight too often. They were fun to make at the time and it is funny for me to see that I've been drawn to the more primitive style for quite a while now. They were made back in 1995-1996.
